I need to get ahold of some 15" steel wheels for my SHO for the wintertime. It is pretty hard to find some reasonably priced Taurus 15" steel wheels here, so is there anything else that has the correct bolt pattern? I hear that Windstar rims will do the job - is there anything else from any other manufacturer?

Discount Tire Direct has steel 15" (or maybe they're 16") wheels for like $48 a piece. Check E-bay for wheels from 89-98 Thunderbirds and Cougars, Windstars, Mark VIIIs, Continentals, Sables, and some Volvos. You need a 5x108mm (5x4.25") bolt pattern.

Go to pick you part on Yellowhead. They will have tones of steel rims from beater SLO's, or you might be able to pick up some basketweaves for the same price. I'm not sure on the price but I can't see them being more than $15 a piece.

you can use any stock wheel from a 89-97 thunderbird, cougar, or 93-98 mark 8.

I used my old set of 15" alloy from my t-bird for my SHO's winter wheels.

Thanks guys. I ended up getting a set of backet weaves off a SLO from pick your part for $15 each. They do need some cleaning up as a lot of the clearcoat has come off. Any suggestions as I plan to clean them with SOS pads and re-apply some clearcoat when finished. Can you believe auto wreckers around town wanted as much as $60 a wheel for USED steel wheels for this car? $45 was the cheapest I could find - crazy for winter wheels!
