Went to finally go get the car aligned today

haven't been driving that much. the guy at the shop came out to look at my car and was like we can't do anything to this yet, your front chamber is out at least 1 degree but the rear looks fine. he asked if there was a chamber kit available for the SHO and i said i think so.

SO where can i get a chamber kit, where is the cheapest, and what is this about just putting a bigger bushing in there or something?

Have they drilled out the spotwelds on the strut tower? That should be the first thing to go, as that will allow you to adjust caster and camber by moving the plate around with respect to the tower.

If that's already done then you're stuck with either living with -1 degree camber (if you have 16" wheels this probably won't wear your tires too badly, although people have different experiences with this) or buying offset bushings.

nothing has been drilled out - and i am on 17's.

You will need to drill out the spot welds on the alignment plates, and you should have enough adjustment range to get the car into spec.

with Intrax springs, just cutting the spot welds wont yield enough adjustment for camber. for my 2" drop, i ended up having to use a dremel to open up the 3 adjustment holes under the camber plate.

So, with the intrax springs, will I absolutly have to do this to get the right alignment? Does it need to be done front and rear? Perhaps some pictures of these drilled out spot welds.

Did they offer to sell you a chamber ***!?!?

Yup, just bust the front spot welds and hog out the holes outboard about 1/4" ea. No camber kit necessary. For the rears, the eccentrics are pretty cheap, but if the camber is less than -1 deg. I'd just leave it alone.
