Yall remeber my post about putting locktite on your PP bolts???
I should have listened to my own advice.... which i was... i bought the locktite a couple days ago, and i was going to do it either today or tomorrow.
well... tomorrow never came.
I was driving over to a buddies house.. Coming up on to a on ramp, i accidently cut a guy off. He went nuts!! Riding my a$$, and coming into my lane, then we started to cut me off... so i said, forget this... dropped to third and punched it... he was trying to stay with me, so i didnt let off. went into 4th, and left him behind... but then, all of a sudden.... BOOOOOM!!!!! along with clanking noises and whatnot....
the engine reved to 7k and died. ( i think i know why) and, all i saw behind me was a cloud of smoke.... so now im coasting down from 100+ mph, with no PS or hardley any brakes... i put my hazards on, and im slowly coming to a stop. Then, the guy that was f'in with me, throws me the finger?!?!? Im just ****** completly off at this point...
So i come to a complete stop... I pull the Fire ext. out, as there was alot of smoke... pop the hood, and no fire... ok, thats better. I start sniffing and smell this mix of Tranny fluid, and coolant.... there were 3 things that poped into my head almost immedialty when i heard that boom. 1 st was, Diff. 2nd, was the bottom end ( thought about the RB's) 3rd, a headgasket..
Not one of those was correct..
I get under the car, and look at the oil pan, still there. (dont ask why i looked at it... ) then i looked over to the tranny.. i could see the aluminum plate sheild that goes between the tranny and motor, hanging there, bent to crap... then i look towards the radiator.. to find that the PS cooler was hit forward, and hit the radiator ( the new 2-3 week old radiator) and abviously it punctured it. then i think how the **** did that happen... i look alittle closer, with the little tiny lite that i had, and see the starter sitting on the front of the subframe...
I get back up, and look down into the motor trans area... and i shine the light down there. and i can see Flywheel, and clutch.. well, what is left of it...
another thing i noticed when i poped the hood, was the motor was leaning towards the left side (driver)... i knew then that something was major.
I called my buddy up, and we towed it back to my house last night. All of this in 40* weather, at 12am, on the side of a highway... allthough those were the least of my worries...
On the way home i started thinking about the motor, as i KNOW the trans is toast. I remebered that it reved up before it died.. Now this is what i need help with.. could the reason the motor died, was from the ground for the starter not connected, well the whole starter not connected?? or is there a chance that the motor is gone too? What im afriad of, is that the motor caught 1st or 2nd, when all that happened, and just reved it to crap... but i cant really remeber if I was on the gas or not when it happened... but i think i was though.
As it stands now, just from my little inspection, it looks like im going to need: new tranny, new clutch, new flywheel, ring gear, radiator, starter, maybe the pass carrier shaft, maybe a rod shifter, and some more little things as well....
I am so.....
**** i cant even find the words to describe it...
******, dosent even cover half of it...
I am totally lost.. and i dont even want to tear into the car... im afraid that i blew the motor as well.
I would have been happier blowing the diff...
oh, for some that dont know what happend. basically the clutch exploded...
i think this is my sign to call it quits with the sho.

OMG, now how the heck do you think it all happened.... starter decided to engage itself... then throw itself around the engine bay?
it just broke off part off the tranny... so techincally its still bolted to the tranny...
