not quite done yet but its getting there. i'm chopping off anything not needed on the intake, so far the egr passage and mount is gone! i also have a question for all of ya is there a real need for the four braces around the intake, i'm planing to cut those off as well. but leave the one in the rear for the ground strap.

Intakepolish1

intake is only at 600 grit at the moment i'm going to go all the way to 2000k then wet polish. anyone know anything i can put on the aluminum to keep it from dulling?

my buddy just used it on his wheels. They have to be flawlwss before you apply it. It also goes bad after 2 days, so once you open it, you have to finish.

That looks great with the 600 grit, you're doing a great job on that intake.

That's what I plan on doing with my extra intake I jut picked up yesterday. And I have valve covers I'm polishing up too. I'm also porting and polishing my intake and making BBB. Can't wait to get that on with the red silicone vaccuum hoses and red wire loom and red plug wires. I also have a CAI I'm putting on, can't wait till it's finished!

When you pull an engine, you dont hook the chain to the intake. You'll want to take the intake off. The spot you are probably thinking of is the rear bolt on the head.

My cousin is polishing my intake and front v/c for me right now. He polishes part time and will zoop seal your parts for a little extra just barely covers cost though. he bases his pricing on the time it takes and mine is the first SHO intake he has done so unsure about pricing but you can go to his website at www.polishinginc.com
