Weird wire and plug under rear seat

I took out my rear seat to do some work and found this weird black cable with a female blue computer plug at the end of it. The plug looks like this.. ANyone know if this came with the car or did someone add it afterwards? Its a bunch of black wire that runs underneath the carpeting somewhere

I had something similar in the dash of my truck.
The company that owned it before installed a gps device to see where the truck is and how fast it was going and etc.
Dunno if it's the same thing for you.
My pickup belonged to a big concrete company and it was truck #4 out of 15 in the fleet.

Obviously somebody was running an old Parallel port printer under your rear seat at one point.

x2. My 93 had that connector in it also. Actually had the whole module that plugged into it under the seat too.
