Been noticing a weird whining/buzzing sound happening when I get on the gas a little. Happens in the middle of first gear and continues thru but doesn’t get any louder. I also don’t feel any sort of power loss. Seems to be coming from the front passenger side.

I’m thinking a belt?
Any ideas? Thanks :)

Sound like an airplane? Miles on car could. Be bearing. Only next thing that fails is the carrier bearing for right CV axle.

It kinda sounds like a super charge whine mixed with a annoying fly. When I let off the gas it stops

I have a couple of ford alternators start doing that in my old fox body. I would removed the belt and see if the noise goes away. If it does then you have something going wonky in the accessory drive. If it doesnt, then you can start the process of elimination with other parts.

check ptu fluid level and condition. when the ptu begins to fail, it will whine. when it is kaput, it will grind. you may be able to get some more miles out of it with quality ****, but generally better to plan for a new one.
