Weird intermittand EATC issue

Sometimes my EATC swithes on and off by itself. It hasnt happened in a few weeks but last night everytime I hit the window up down buttons, the heater turns on and starts blowing until i let go of the button. Same thing happens when I hit the door lock unlock button.. After I started the car again it stopped and everything is back to normal but now when I hit the drivers window down button it doesnt automatically roll the window all the way down anymore unless I hold the button down. Any thought on what would cause these electrical gremlins?

Grounds, grounds, grounds. These are almost always the culprit when strange things happen. Electrical current always seeks the path of least resistance. If the ground is bad, it will seek it through other circuits. Check the ground points for both the windows and HVAC circuits. Also check the ground wires for continuity between ground point and the control switches. I have seen wires dry rot and break, making intermitent contact, especially in door boots where the wires are constantly moving.
