So today i was on my way home after running some errands. While on the highway maintaining speed at about 55 my car started to slow down so i gave it some gas, it didnt respond for like half a second, then it ****** and took off again. I thought it was dieing but no lights came on or anything. Ran fine the rest of the way home, about 20 miles. It has 158,000 miles on it and had a full 120K done about 2,500 miles ago. It has only done it once. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen before.

Is the fuel filter in tank? if forgot to add that when the 120k was done the fuel pump and starter were also replaced.

Mine started doing this a few months back. It started as an occasional thing then progressively became worse. CCRM ended up being the culprit. Are there any codes???

If you get your check engine light turns on for a few seconds following this hiccup, id say your MAF connector is loose. My SHO has this same exact symptom every couple days. My MAF plug was broken and now it just kinda sits on the sensor so every once in a while the plug wiggles somewhat loose and causes this hiccup.

I recently had the same problem
Aparently the screws on my Cam Position Sensor had worked their way out and it was flopping around every now and then.
probably not your issue though.

Alright well the car died yesterday while going to work, and now it wont start at all. I work at a school district and we are having huge network troubles so i haven't had time to dig any deeper into the problem but i will check engine codes and report back. I may need some help reading them also. So we will see whats up.
