Weird Clunking noise from dash???

I have a 95 ATX that has recently developed a noise in the dash...occasionally. It sounds like a flap opening and closing which would lead me to beleive it's coming from the climate control but I turn it off and it still does it. Then I thought it was the radio or cd player and I turned them off and actually removed them from the car but still happens. The sound is only happens occasionally and the car has to be running for it to happen. Sounds comes from center of dash area... Any ideas???

My car has a sound coming from behind the dash that almost sounds like a blinker going off and on. Might be the same thing. I have a bad blend door.

That must be what it is, mine almost sounds like someone is knocking inside the heater. I guess I will be ripping the dash apart soon, can't get stuck when it gets too cold out.

Any news on what this noise might be? I'm having the same issues. It sounds like a mechanical pump or something, but nothing seems to be effected.

Holy cats man, the thread is 2+ years old! It sounds to me like your blend door is **** up. My cars blend door is toast, but at least it is stuck on hot!

my 95 dose this to.........never affected anythin so ive never worried about it to much
