ok, the weather stripping around the front window keeps on coming out of its joining/sealing area (don't know how to describe where it sits), in between the green lines in this pic:

i left the stripping in its place, cause it was being nice to me that day. it usually comes out while driving, and starts flapping around, hitting/smacking against the roof of the car. when it does come out, i will try to put it back in, but it seems too long for the space (like it ets stretched while flapping around). if i leave it, and put it in later, it fits fine (as per the photo).

is there anything that will keep it in there? crazy glue? instant cement? shrug

You could try clear silicone shrug When I first bought my '93, the moonroof seal was really stretched out and would actually fall into the car when the moonroof was closed. After I priced out how much just the gasket was, I decided I'd take a stab at doing it myself. Judging from your picture, you wouldn't have to cut any of seal out (like I had to), but all I did was put a very thin layer of the silicone around the edge of the moonroof glass where the gasket is supposed to sit, put the trimmed-up gasket in place, then shut the moonroof until it dried. It worked fine for me, and never leaked shrug

If you were to go that route on the windshield, I think you'd be ok. Just put some silicone on your fingertip and run it along the underside of the seal, then press the seal back down where it belongs, let it dry, and you should be good to go. Just remember, though, it may be a PITA to get off later.

You want to buy a tube of "Windshield Urethane" at an auto parts store (an independent shop, most chains don't usually carry it). Try to find the 3M brand, it's the best. Avoid the NAPA-labeled brand, it will take FOREVER to cure. Expect to pay about $18.

It comes in a tube, like caulking (thus you will need a caulking gun to use it). It will cure more slowly the colder it is, but it will cure. Best bet would be to pick a warm (>50 deg. F) day, or at least leave it exposed to direct sunlight for as long as you can. Even better would be to see if you can find a friend willing to let you keep your car in their heated garage for 4-6 hours.

Be sure to mask off the roof line, since the stuff can be quite nasty and sticks to everything. But, it will 100% fix the problem, and fix it RIGHT! :)
