Mine is not in good shape.
There is enough cracking and pieces that are broken off that it looks like water could be finding its way into the channel.

Is this seal replaceable?
Maybe there's some sort of filler/restorer that could be used?

if its the outer seal that slides and moves around i removerd mine before paint and not have had a problem at all.regarding leaking or anything else.the aftermarket glass that i had installed in my 91 had a different seal all together.which im not totally fond of.

One of the reasons I'm scrapping the '96 RM. I bet you need to get a new window to get a new seal.

Yeah, I wondered if they don't come as one piece.

Someone with some time and the right type of glue/adhesive/filler (whatever you'd call it) could probably repair it well enough that its function would be restored and form would at least be better than the cracked and torn state it's in now. I may have to experiment.

Weird though - the ford parts sites want $500+ for back glass. I know the SHO's are getting rarer every day, so it's logical that engine/susp parts would be hard to find and expensive.
But the oval taurus bodies are still a dime a dozen. I would think parts that aren't specific to the sho would be readily available at competitve prices.

BTW, what's RM?

Ah, yeah -
Saw one of those at a rinky-**** rural dealership in '07 when I was car shopping. Owned by an old couple, ALMOST mint, 70k or something around there.
I wanted it BAD.
Couldn't spend close to what they wanted though.
