I am planning on installing my 3.4 pulley (or get a 3.2). Anyways over the winter, I hope, I want to do some charge cooling. I've done some reading, and so far it seems like a pretty staight forward install/setup. The only thing is I do not know where to get an intercooler. I am afraid to buy from ebay b/c they seem like junk. I dont want junk. Anyone have any good sources on an intercooler? Wat do the texas guys use? Are they single core or dual core? I want a dual core, in this case bigger is better ( rather surface area)

I found this place www.frozenboost.com. Only to find out their units are on ebay. They dont look bad but Im not to sure.

I found these things
interestting.http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Parts/INTERCOOLERTUBES.html

Would fit the SHO piping setup well and could do a series setup. They also look pretty cool. Only downside is the price! 350 for 6" and 425 for a 12" unit!!!! DAMN. I would want 2 6" :nut:

I have all the other major parts picked out, or ordered, cept an intercooler. Any help will be appreciated. After this and a boost raise, thats it. Get a REALLY good tune and enjoy it.

If you go to www.northtexasperformance.com and click on products you'll see the XS Power intercoolers I think most of the texas guys use. From what I've read (and from the quantity I've seen in s/c SHOs) they seem like pretty good units.

I'm using the one from frozenboost, type 11 w/ 3" outlets, the only difference i found versus a Spearco is the way the fin and tube is shaped and the fin density, perhaps the Speacro will give you 20*F cooler charge but for their price I'll go with the cheap Asian built one for now, luckily the Asian built one's copy the dimensions of the high quality ones so I can always go to a Speacro without major mods. As long as the air makes contact with the core fins your gonna get heat exchange. Currently I'm putting in an air-to-air and using the water one for a really dense charge. A hybrid system.

As for the other product, seems like a great good idea but I have no real straight sections so I couldn't take advantage of the piping that is just idle.

XS Power one's are good for a budget build.
