I am replacing my water pump this week end and someone suggest replacing the thermostat at the same time, someone else said I shouldn't have to. So, my question is, what is the normal operating range for the temp. on the Sho, when doing city driving? I usually run around the n part of the normal on the gauge. :)

Well it might be a good idea to change the Thermostat too while your at it, mine runs between the whole normal range from N to L during city driving depending on when I turn my fan on though determines how high it gets.

I have never seen mine get past 1/2 way on a hot day. Normally sits about 1/3 up past C.

Thermostat is optional, if it hasn't been done in a long time it wouldnt hurt to change it. Over the course of time the wax pellet inside the thermostat leaks out a bit, decreasing the effectiveness of the thermostat.

Never hurts to change a $10 part that could keep you from blowing up your motor.

:) While you have the system open anyway.. why not?
