I have a 1995 sho 3.0 need to change out the water pump what tool are needed to do this job other than the basic wrenches and sockets ? Also any short cuts or tricks to do this job thanks

I would do the crankshaft sensor, timing belt and cam/crank seals while you are there.

Depends on your mechanical ability.

Also, don't waste time just changing the front half of the water pump. Get the fel-pro gasket set and change the O-rings too. You will be glad you did.

Make sure you use a 6-point socket on the crankshaft, not a 12 point.

This^^, I think the seal at the water inlet behind the water pump housing is the first thing to start leaking. If you mess with the water pump the housing will come loose in the process and if you don't replace all the seals you will regret it down the road.
