I quoted your response in my complaint with the BBB.
I recently dealt with a false advertisement issue. I was surprised I got faster results out of a BBB complaint then one to the FTC, Attorney General, or Truth in Advertising.

The one other time I filed a complaint with BBB, against *** Communications, resulted in a quick response from *** and a discounted rate that is still in effect nearly 3 years later. I explicitly told Lewis Ford that them ripping me off was going to cost them a LOT more than they charged me. They are about to find out.

Go to start the car a few minutes ago and smoke starts billowing out the pipes. Drove about 1/4 mile and the check engine light starts flashing and the car is stuttering and barely running. Fired up Forscan and there are about 4 zillion DTCs as well as tons of "unable to read DTC" messages. I am so ******! Just left a message for the a-holes at the dealership. We'll see if they even call me back since I've filed complaints with BBB and Ford Corporate.

Service Advisor Andy tells me, "you can have the car towed down and we'll see what the issue is. If it's something we did wrong, we'll fix it and not charge you anything."

So now I have to get the car towed to the same farkbrains who overcharged me and royally ******* it up. Andy also told me that they saved me $2k over what the timing chain, water pump, phaser should have been. Really? You idiots think that job should have been $5400?

Lewis Ford in Fayetteville, AR are a bunch of complete incompetents.

What do you think about this idea?

Maybe they put a stock 2 bar MAP when they replaced everything? Car has been running fine for about 150 miles, though.

I'm going to clear all the codes in Forscan tomorrow and then put in my original MAP and flash it back to stock. Concerns?

"Came over to my shop at 3 I'm the afternoon on Monday and showed up back at the shop the next morning with the car complete."

Now that's service! I always joke around about there not being any independent mechanics that work overnights.
Hey some mechanics got wives that will spend their rent 2 days before it’s due so over night probably saved him lol

FWIW I have always heard that job from the dealership is around $3000, so that seems about right. Any part, any service, any labor at the dealership is going to be 25% to 35% more then any other repair shop. Back in the day when I was a wee lad it was usually worth it because they had long term mechanics, long term customers and where usually the ones that could figure out things no one else could. NOT ANY MORE, they don't care, will charge you top dollar for everything and don't care if you ever come back again, because they know someone else will.

I'm at 75.000 miles and I only drive about 25,000 a year so I'm thinking when it gets over 90,000 I'm just going to pull the motor and have it rebuilt. I really love this car and hope it holds up, because it's not cheap when it breaks. Between maintenance and upgrades I'm almost at a point I could have bought a spare.

Well, that didn't work. I limped it to the stealership with codes of P0301, P0302 and P0316. Can't wait to see what kind of ******** they try to apply this time.

This *****, really sorry to hear you got ******* over pretty good. I’ve done this same job on many 3.5 ecoboosts. It isn’t that hard and there isn’t a lot to mess up if you know how to follow simple instructions. But I really hope the issues your now having where caused by the work done to the car that way they don’t try and get you for diagnosis charges or something silly.

Does anyone here have any contacts with Ford Corporate? I called their customer care number when this all started and they haven't done squat. Lewis has now had my car for a combined 12 days and can't seem to figure out what is wrong with it and continue to abuse my wallet trying to find out.

There pretty much non existent. I needed a driver's seat belt buckle for my Interceptor, it took 5 years and I was able to get my hands on one just 2 months ago, I went to Facebook and found Ford's page and made a post about my safety issue, because the buckle turns off steering wheel airbag even though your buckled in, I posted all of this and how there needs to be a class action lawsuit, sure enough their social media director messaged me on Facebook and gave me numbers to call and had a distributor who had the only 10 in exsitance for sale but all spoken for to municipalities for their fleet to Instead sell me one of them to shut me up. If you have Facebook, raise **** on their page, best way to get a response out of them.

FWIW I had had to replace the steering gear, the part alone was over $2000 I forget whet the labor was, I had a few other things taken care of and BOOM 4000. There not cheap cars to maintain, and it will only get worse as time goes on.

Mine has 217K miles and I have no clue what's been done. No CEL and no issues yet but I am looking at doing this myself next summer just to have peace of mind it is done. I work on heavy equipment for a living and play with old school carbed cars. But I lack the lift, what was your techs name? I'd love to shoot him a message lol
