Mine has behaved a little differently - water around the cowl wets the cabin air filter and blocks all air flow. Ended up replacing the cowl three years ago since it wasn't sealing to the windshield. I clear the cowl drains about every 2 years. I last cleared the sunroof drain tubes three years ago after the headliner showed it was soaked from above. There's a new problem that my driver's seatbelt is coming out of the retractor damp. Haven't figured out how the water is getting into the B pillar. Anyone else have this problem and/or any insights?
I do plan on replacing the cowl soon, the rubber seal is in bad shape.

Ending up getting into it and here’s what was causing it, these suckers were full of crap
Thanks for sharing. My air filter was getting wet after going through the car wash and I could hear water going from side to side.
Those drain covers were full of mud and decomposed leaves.
I dropped one of the clips in the engine bay and couldn't find it (PN W709919-S438). Hope the local dealer can get it for me, don't want to pay $10 to ship a $2 clip.

If you're hearing water move around when driving, check the drains in the front doors. When they clog, they hold a LOT of water that shows up as humidity inside the car. Fortunately, they can be opened with fingers and then just flushed out. Good idea to check and flush them each season change.

Cleaning the cowl drains fixed the issue. Thx.

Glad to hear it helped man! About those clips, I did the same thing lol and I recommend just going to an auto parts store, I found a 4 pack of the clips for 5 dollars at advanced auto parts
