Opened the left side passenger door today and water poured out from the door seal, probably from all the snow we had last week melting off the roof but it shouldn't have made it inside the door.

I don't think the sunroof drain would cause water to get between the door and the door sill. It does sound like there is a pretty good amount of water getting past the seal at the base of the window, running inside the door, and then coming out the drains at the bottom of the door when the door is opened. The good news is the drains in the door would appear to be open, but it does seem odd there would be that much water getting in to the door to start with. I think you'd better inspect the seal at the top of the base of the window for any large tears or gaps.

I've noticed that water sits inside the plastic moulding/cladding along the bottom, and at certain angles doesn't drain until the car or door is moved.
