Hello new to the forum, me and my brother both just got sho's, both 4th gen... we love these cars and cant wait to get to know everyone in the community. I have a 2011 sho and my brother got the 2013. He has gear heads tune with all the whistles for it, im still deciding which tune I really want to go with. So in hopes of getting to know more and chatting with everyone i can better decide.

well I’ll say this I have had an Ortiz tune and gear head and I preferred the gear head tune for sure. Others I have heard stay away from like livernois. Only other one I know of is a smaller company but much more through than most. AJP tuning with a guy named Brad. Matt is who I deal with at Gearhead. From what I can tell seems like the fastest sho’s are running AJP tunes or gear head but that’s not to say there aren’t many more out there.

Change all the fluids you don't know the history of. Especially the lifetime PTU fluid. Those things like to go boom

If you want to see what happens to the PTU I added some pics below, this was a giant PITA that I did in my drive way. Ford quoted me something like $2400 for parts and another $1500 in labor. I did it myself for less than a grand. Hardest part is remembering where everything goes back in order and lining up the spines to slide PTU into transmission is a real fun one laying on your back with nothing but jack stands and floor jacks. Difficult to get any kind of leverage and god forbid u drop it, your loosing teeth or more. To me the worst thing about our platform is the amount of BS that has to come off to just access other parts when they break, everything is just so crammed in there tightly. Overall I love the sleeper effect it has, most people are baffled when they see what they can do.
