Can you educate me a little bit on how these work? Do they light up white all the time and then switch to amber when you use the turn signal? Are they a simple plug n' play?

Yes, they are white with the parking lights and flash amber. They come with a plug that goes into the stock 3157 which you should shrink to keep water out otherwise it's straightforward.

I believe so. My Navigator still had a separate flasher I just changed out. Most newer vehicles with the flasher built into the lighting module need the resistors. I just received the amber V3s and ordered the resistor modules, haven't installed yet though.
