violent shaking

my 89 sho has a front end problem. wheels are wearing unevenly when im on the highway the front end shakes when i drive a certain speed usually over 60mph and it also shakes when i slow down. what coukls this be?

First of all sounds like you need an alignment but in order to do that I would check to make sure the front end is tight. I would jack up both sides and see if you have any play in the wheels and it also sounds like you made need your tires balenced.

Check your ball joints and wheel bearings as stated above. Those would be my best guess.

I had the same prob with a old LX I had. It turned out 2 be the wheel bearings.
Do you hear any grinding sounds coming from the front wheels?

i hear deep whiring noises from the rear tires

A humming sound or whirring sound could definitely be a bad wheel bearing.
