Not sure if variable assist steering is called VAPS on the Gen3 but figured yall would know what I mean.
Anyway, I'm curious about the signal that goes to the steering rack that commands the variable assist actuator. I think the signal is pulse width modulated. If that's the case, does anyone know the details of the PWM signal? (min/max voltages, carrier frequency, and duty cycle range, etc.).
Has anyone ever tried rigging up a simple PWM circuit with a potentiometer to dial in the level of PS boost on a Gen3?
Just thinking out loud..
