Valve shim question??

Has anyone else done the valve shim clearance check only to find that all shims were within spec??

My car has 320k on it and I never once checked them until tonight after finishing the valve stem seals and I was surprised they were all within spec.

I put in a set of SHONUT +20's and didnt change a single shim.

I have changed cams a couple of times and never had to re-shim.

From the various shims jobs I have done have had them range from 1 being too tight to almost all being replaced.
