Ok I have basicly been replacing sensors here and there most of the ones that need to be done in the 60k. the only major thing i haven't done is the valve adjustment and the timing belt. I bought my sho at 132K and i don't no if the 60k was ever done. (I didn't get records or any thing with my sho) so do u guys think i should go a head and do the valve adjustment and timing belt change?

Thanks

I would do the timing belt for sure...Valves are more preventative maintenence, If you can..."Just do it" If you do the timing belt...do the waterpump since you have the belt out of the way, the pump is right there and you might as well do it. That thing can ruin your CPS if you don't replace it. Get a reman. from rockauto.com for like 50-60 bones. Good luck!

I would replace the rings rods and mains along with all gaskets and seals, the crank position sensor and the cam sensor, and then a complete 60k, with new water pump, coolant hoses, possibley motor mounts, ect... if you drive like me, and you want your sho to run good and last long!! NAPA has good deals on gasket sets, seals, water pump, and other needed. if you need the part #'s let me know and i will email them to you.. Just do like i did and start buying a little at a time..

You'd replace the rings on a motor with only 150k miles? It's definitely not necessary on the SHO motors. The cost will be 3-4 times what it would cost for a low mileage replacement from a wrecking yard. Don't re-build, just maintain and replace when necessary. My 3 cents worth.

Damn inflation!

Rings? Hardly. Mine are still sealing just fine after 278,000 miles. Main bearings are fine too. The rod bearings can be replaced at about 150,000 miles to prevent future failure or sooner if there is evidence of the telltale rod knock. I finally replaced my connecting rod bearings at 271,000 miles, but many don't last that long. You really need to get a procedure to replace the timing belt on the 3.2L. Maintain that engine and it can live forever. Check your email.

Dose your LOW OIL light come on when at an idle or even flash on for a second, the this is a good indcation that your main bearings are shot and should be replaced before doing major damage. Rings maybe be overkill but for the $79 at NAPA why not do it right.. my car did not burn oil and ran cherry with only 140K, since i had the motor dissambled i measured everything and made it the way that i wanted it..the entire rebuild only cost me about $750 for the motor including getting the block cooked and honned at a machine shop. As far as junk yards motors go, good luck finding one that is not beat for under a grand!! If you need the NAPA part numbers i can get them for you, sometimes they have a hard time getting the right parts.. good luck
