vaccum release valve

i was looking around on the back of my intake and i noticed the connector that goes on the vaccum release valve was off didn't seem to make a difference is it necsessary?

the wire connector was off the sensor i believe is what it is

If it's attached to the back of the intake, that's your secondary runner solenoid. it's what allows the secondaries to open/ close.

Disconnected, it'll cause the secondaries to remain open.
