Somehow, I've totally missed the fact that someone built a stick-shift Gen 3 SHO....

I remember when everyone said it wasn't feasible. :hail: to you, sir.

People siad it "coudln't be done", or "why would you go to that trouble, just build the ATX" blah blah blah. It took me 2.5 years (a lot of that was waiting for axels), instead of the 6 months I was initially projecting but I did make it happen.

Jury isn't completly in, I have about 1K miles and 18 1/4 mile passes on the project now (broken axle at 400 miles in Kalamazoo), I get to pull the driveline to fix a rear main leak for certain but I am trying to break anything else that may become a future issue before I pull the driveline to fix just an oil leak.

Trying to decide how / when to get the thing dyno tuned as well, and some other minor PCM tuning issues. I just got cruise control working last night by installing a 99 cruise control module, apparently the 96 modules rely on the TSS out of the tranny for vehicle speed NOT the ABS like the EVTM SHOws. Plugged and played with a 99 Cruise actuator :) .

Were the axles under any kind of warrantee or no since they were custom?

As far as I know the axles were under some kind of warranty. But that's little value when you're far away from the manufacturer and you need the car running ASAP. Scott found an all-night truck repair shop to weld up the broken axle.

Yes they were under warrantee.

I sent the vendor digital pictures of the carnage, and of the rework job. I do expect them to make good on the axels should that joint break again within the next few months. They came with a 30 day warranty. The $75 (one hour labor) I paid at the truck stop is what I would have paid in overnight shipping to just get the pieces to them.

venom.org appears to be gone...any chance that someone has a backup of these project photos?

Whoops... My poor neglected web server.. I'll take a look tonight and get her back online. I was tidying up in the basement and reworked some of my cable management for the network. I'd bet I gave myself a wiring problem.
