Yes, any info/pics on the build would be great Scott. Especially since I will be the next owner of your MTX car.

Well I finally fixed venom.org. I don't know how the Virtual machine got shutdown the server and VMWare was humming along just fine. Might be worth downloading and saving your own copies however, as it looks like I will be moving int he next handful of months and I don't know how venom.org will be supported during any transition period.

What color is rowboat going to be when it gets back out east?

wierd...

The thread shows 5 pages, and I click on the 5 for the last page and I don't have what should be my reply above. Page 5 and 4 are the same? Maybe this post will fix it....

Sorry Scott, I goofed. :nut: Wrong car...Kinda. I'm getting Ryan's MG 5 spd. Ironic how two of the same rare color SHO's received the same transmission swap.

Thanks for getting it back up, saved those pics! You mentioned a write-up in progress a couple of times, any chance of releasing that? Or is the important info contained in the couple threads you posted in here?

Parts List?

Is there a complete parts list anywhere? I'd like to get everything all at once and power though it in a couple weeks tops. I noticed venom is down, which is disappointing but I believe I can manage if I know exactly what I need. Any help will be appreciated.

Rats - ever since I moved and hosted that server as a gm on a buddies machine I have been less than pleased with the reliability.

Once he fixes whatever is wrong with that PC, I will post back.

Complete parts list - not so much.... Axles are the killer. Clutch master cylinder is a bit tricky. Finding used shift cables that bone yards haven't just cut is a pain too. Clutch is cake for Mazda 6s, don't forget the requisite sct tuner and program.

Other then the axle snapping and the oil leak have you had any issues out of it?

I bent the stainless bolt that hung the clutch pedal (the pedal "hung" off the side so the bolt had no outer support - I replaced the soft stainless bolt with a grade 8) I also Broke a shift cable plastic end by the shift tower by abusing the crap out of it.

Had the cv's rebuilt at about 80k after the swap. They were used cv's originally and I started getting wheel shake when under power.

Sold it with about 105k on the swap. It lives in Iowa now.

Still miss the old girl, hope she's treat her new owner well - he was going to do a chassis swap as the ohio salt was setting in quite well.

Thanks for all the info. As soon as I found out this was possible I was sold on the project.

Greetings - I am quite remiss at getting my webserver (venom.org) back online.. I still had all the files so I put everything I have from rowboat and zipped it up. here is a link to download the 38MB zip file.

Someday I'll get everything running on my router to serve these pages again - I don't have the desire to keep a webserver running and feed it electricity like I used to - especially when my current dd-wrt router has as much RMA as the NT4 box that I started serving web pages with in 1995 had... Anyway I'll quit reminiscing - here the only juice I have digitized...
