Crixtopher,

Hey, the picture of the bulbs, are thoes the ones that go in the bumper cover inside the headlights? They look clear, are they?

If they are where did you pick them up at?

Thanks

brian

Looks good, As soon as it warms up here I am going to take my bumper cover off also and put mesh insidethe openeing.

Brian, thx,

its just a replacement lense. I bought the cheapest one I could find online here:

http://www.partstrain.com/products/Headlight/1998~FORD~TAURUS.htm

this was before I heard all the stuff on different lense quality. this one is made by Eagle Eyes, but heck at $10.63 I figure I can deal with poor long term quality.

NOTE = the listing on this page is wrong. DO NOT BUY the one the says its for a SHO, its for Sable Sal and his Mercury buddies ;), buy the one that says its for G, GL, LX, SE Models. :thumb:

okay now onto the badges

so Paul I took a hair dryer to the badges after work, both came off splendidly

I had nearby a can of bug n tar remover so I tried that, effectively to my surprise, to remove the glue.

the first side looks better than I expected, no sign of a badge

the second, not so lucky. the paint had started to flake a little around the edges of the badge, plus the paint on the driver's side I guess is more faded so there is the dreaded paint quality (color) difference, leaving a noticeable rectangle of shame, haha

so whats my best approach ? I briefly tried the touch up brush , but it looked like it was only going to get worse. could be after drying it wouldn't have been so bright , but not knowing, I wiped it clean and called it a night.

I am thinking maybe a light spray once I acquire a can of Perf White will do , any other hints / tips / ideas ? bring em on!

Why remove the V8 badges?

never really cared for em. just don't think they add anything visually to the car

I considered getting a few diff. alt badge designs and swapping them, and still may at some point. I like the ones Roman uses for example.

Hate to tell you this Chris, but you need MORE V-8 badges, not less. Don't you know they add additional horsepower?

look at this guy's rear badge . I dunno if this is true or not but I think if you put one in the rear then your car is instantly mutated into Turbo ~ RWD ? you think this is true ? :smash:

speaking of badges, where can I get factory ones.

if you want two used ones hit me with a pm, but if you'd rather have new check Ebay, I see em up there all the time. either way they can be had for cheap

Thanks, I was just looking at V8 badges on Ebay before I checked back on here and actually saw the badge in question.
