Hello again, SHO Guru's,
Here's one for the gurus - I started doing a test with the standard CEL proceedure, outlined in the instructions, by connecting the paper clip to the terminals under the hood, and got a few codes pulled with the engine off...tried to start the car (to do the engine running part of the test) and the car would NOT start. Turns over, but won't catch.
So...took the paper clip out of the terminals, and it started up just fine. What do you think I should look for in this little instance???
The only codes pulled with the enginee off section were related to the fuel pump circuit - I lost power to the fuel pump, and I hot-wired in a toggle switch from the fuse pannel directly to (the switch, first) the pump, as I couldn't find the correct wiring under the hood - works fine.
Anyway...if anyone has any advise on what would cause the car NOT to start during the test, please let me know. Thanks
Frank
