I got a 2015, can you charge a cell phone with the USB port in the console? If so, does anyone use it to charge their phone?

Is Gen 2 SYNC in the 2015?As a small note, sync Gen 2 amperage output may not be enought for some newer smart phones and your phone will discharge when in use.
Yes.Is Gen 2 SYNC in the 2015?
I did notice this on road trips using nav on my phone it will still lose charge while plugged in. After upgrading to SYNC3 and the newer USB hub it's no longer an issue. As a small note, sync Gen 2 amperage output may not be enought for some newer smart phones and your phone will discharge when in use.
I'm pretty certain that Sync2 is .5A. Definitely not enough to charge while using OBD Fusion and Waze.I talked to a mechanic I know at my dealer and he looked it up for me. Sync2 USB port, 5v and 2.5A. I called Samsung and they said that'll be fine for charging my phone. Just wanted to make sure.
I didn't say before, but the mechanic also noted 13W... 5 x 2.5 rounds off to 13.I'm pretty certain that Sync2 is .5A. Definitely not enough to charge while using OBD Fusion and Waze.
I have heard the same .5A. The SYNC3 USB hub made a noticeable difference.I'm pretty certain that Sync2 is .5A. Definitely not enough to charge while using OBD Fusion and Waze.
