I am not confident in my local dealer network being cool with much in the way of modification when it comes to warranty. I'm Baltimore - if anyone on here has had success with mods under warranty in the Balto area, please point me in the right direction.

That said, assuming there is not one, it seems exhaust and air intake are the difference makers I can choose for the time being, under warranty. Any feedback from the group on this will be appreciated.

From what I've read, intake and exhaust are only going to give you more sound than actual performance. If you want performance, you're going to have to get a tune and I recommended Livernois Motorsports. It's the one thing I regret not doing sooner. I still have 40k left on my warranty and I'm enjoying every second with the tune.

Livernois is simply plug and play, but another good tuner is Torrie from Unleashed if you don't mind spending time data logging to fine tune your tune. Keep it on the conservative side, both tuners will work well for you and you'll be glad you did!

Yes, what limited said! I would not hesitate for one second to obtain a tune for a car that is under warranty. You will get much more enjoyment out of the car and unless you have a catastrophic engine failure, it is HIGHLY unlikely that you would ever have warranty issues. Simply return the car to stock prior to taking the car in and there should be no reason for anyone to check for tuning.

While exhaust and intake mods may (or may not) impact warranty coverage, they are visible. Personally, I would much rather have the tune and leave the exhaust alone. Maybe it is just me, but if I saw that a customer had a modified exhaust and intake, I would more likely suspect that even more had been done.

Thanks to both. I'll reconsider and go for the tune. Livernois seems to be the best bet, in reading around.

I have to echo the "tune it" attitude. My 2015 PP is a different car after installation of the LMS Hurricane bundle. You will think it's a different car.

Just nudging 21k miles and no significant issues.

Has anyone done the livernois tune without changing plugs and thermostat?

I presume your SHO is near new based on your member name. If your SHO is a 2016 with low miles, you shouldn't need to change the plugs. Your car came with the preferred SP534 plugs from the factory. It wouldn't hurt to check the gaps and make sure they are around .030 but they shouldn't need changed.

There are a few folks using the stock thermostat and there is plenty of discussion on these forums about that so I will not re-open that discussion here. :)

You can do the initial tune with no issue. We recommend the thermostat upgrade, and it is required when going further in tuning but for the time being if you are looking for a tune, feel free to get ahold of us via PM or phone and lets get you tuned!!

I put the hurricane package on my 2016 non-PP when I had around 3K miles, I'm about to hit 5K now. This after putting 50K on a 2011 non-PP stock, HUGE difference.
