Yeah to update I got it all sealed up and replaced. Bulbs would flicker, randomly turn off etc so I pulled them out. Put in the stock bulbs and they're fine. I think the bulb's being bigger are messing with the connection somehow? Ah well only 8 bucks down the tubes.

I had modified the clips some with a pair of needle nose pliers so there wasn't any play. To update my puddle lamps had both burnt out also. I went with another type of led that is sealed. I also taped up the vent on the puddle lamp casing since they really don't need any ventilation. No issues since.

So you ended up with the same problems? Reason I haven't done the puddle lamps was because I was having problems with the license lamps. lol I might just try a physically smaller bulb that's closer to the size of the stock bulbs.

No no. Never had any issues what-so-ever with the license plates lamps. They were bigger but I just pinched the clips to correctly fit them in there. Zero issues.
The puddle lamps, which the bulbs were direct exact fit, gave me some issues. They ended up coming on and off sporadically. Finally, neither of them were working anymore. I had to take them apart again (PITA) and installed a different led bulb similar to the other ones but sealed instead. Trying that out with good luck so far.
