I downloaded the most recent sync update on a new zip drive. When I plugged the zip drive into the usb port on my 2012 SHO and hit "install" it keeps giving me the message of "file not found." I made sure there's absolutely nothing else on the zip drive except the update like the instructions say but it keeps giving me that error message. Anybody know what if anything I'm doing wrong?

Did you format the drive or just delete the files on the drive?
I'm not sure what you mean by formatting it Kyle. I did delete the initial files that were on the drive, downloaded the update, and copy and pasted the update into the Zip drive. Is there another step to take to "format" it?

I'm not sure if it actually matters but it might help. If you plug the flash drive in then go to my computer where it lists the c drive and cd rim drive. You should also see the flash drive listed in there, If you right click you'll see the option to format the drive. Choose that then the defaultsecond should be fine just make sure quick format is checked.

Takes a few seconds then put the file back on it.

Well apparently my zip drive was too big. If I would have fully read the instructions I would've noticed that the file system on the flash drive has to be "FAT32." Mine was something different and when I tried to reformat it to FAT32 it wouldn't let me because the flash drive was too big. So I went to Best Buy today and bought a smaller one and the update worked.

ntfs is a much better file system, but Apple doesn't (really) support it, so they apparently made Sync so that it would only read the fat32 file system...

Well technically in windows fat32 can only format up to a 32GB flash drive but there are 3rd party software that will format a flash drive larger then 32GB with fat32. Fat32 also suffers from having a limitation of each individual size, i think its 3-4GB per file. But that obviously isnt the issue with the sync file.
