Another reminder to get your hotel reservations ASAP if you are even considering going to the convention. You can always cancel the room right up to the day of the event I am pretty sure.
Also, after getting some questions on helmets for the Putnam Park day, I checked with the track, and they WILL accept M class helmets, but they are highly discouraged.
The difference is that an M class helmet does not have the same resistance to fire as the SA (automobile) class of helmet. There are also differences in impact resistance between falling off a bike and say having your head hit the door frame or a roll cage.
But we will allow M95 or SA95 or newer helmets. They MUST have the SNELL sticker of 1995 or newer to be allowed.
I strongly urge you to spend the extra money (just a little, not much) on the SA designation. Your head is pretty important and a quality helmet will cost you about $5 per year more than a cheap one, over the 10-15 years you can use it. The 2005 stickers should be out soon, ask your supplier when they will be available and you will get the maximum for your bucks.
Go to the SHOclub.com web site to read more about the convention and the various rules. This should be a fun event, but we want everyone to be safe.

Then click on the NATIONAL Convention link on the left.
Registrations are coming in nicely for this early, please go ahead and send yours in if you are planning on coming. Call if you have a special request on cashing a check or charging a credit card.
See you all in Indy!
