tried sanding on them a bit and it still seams they are pretty wet once you get down a bit. So more drying time is in order. Lame.

Another interesting find was that the new Sable HL's i go have and extra diffuser in them compared to the My OE HL's. Im guessing this is why they were not glare monsters compared to other HID conversions.

Sadly no. Just havent had the time this summer. Been doing general stuff to the car so it makes it through the school year. I promise its not dead just needing the time, i still have the molds laying around i need to sand them and fill the air bubbles.

Then its on to the fiberglass stage which i am totally new to. Lol.

Pics will be coming tomorrow with the new projectors ive been using, they are Mini H1's with ddm bulbs and such. Wonderful light output, still need to adjust them up a little though.

1992 Ford Taurus GL

I know, it's no SHO but mine is actually faster than a stock SHO. I've taken the factory 1994 3.8 from a GL when my 92's 3.0 died (finally...hate that engine) and did a remote mount twin turbo set up with a police chip. Coupled with high flow fuel injectors, flash and reprogrammed the computer, high flow fuel pump, big bore TBI for 3.8 mustang, electronic shift kit, lightweight flywheel, and 3500 stall converter, I'm pulling 1/4 mile times down to near 9.9...goal is 8 flat 1/4 mile. My car is a sleeper though. It looks like a heap, cracked bumper on front, faded paint, loose door panels, etc. I love my GL and would take on nearly ANY SHO! LOL! My next project will be to rebuild my turbo's from stage 2 to stage 4 and add a 40hp dry nitrous system. I would post pix, but my camera is busted...the only give away on my car is the Magnaflow exhaust system (sounds awesome), the too loud BOV system, and the hole I had to cut in the hood for clearance for the cold air intake for the turbo's...will (one day) build a cowl induction style hood for it...

All that to say this: Anyone out there making projector headlights for a GL style headlight system? Saw the SHO system and it looks wicked...I'd love to do that on mine...

i like how in the picture the toolbox fell over and instead of picking it up you use it for a stand and stack stuff on it

Automatics have flexplates not flywheels, flexplates are stamped steel with a gear ring welded to it, there's really no lightening a flexplate as far as I know. Try and remember that next time you try to troll a forum. And if you're serious, I'm sorry but you got screwed on that deal.

i guess you could lighten a flex plate, or put a lighter one in, but you still have a huge, heavy, fluid filled torque converter bolted to it. so you aren't gonna see any gains.

Yeah did you replace the apex seals on the rotors and swap in the helicopter motors like most guys do or did you just stick chrome fender vents on from pep boys and call it a day?:laugh_ti:
