OK. This is weird. When I come to an easy stop and turn the steering wheel to the right, the anti-lock brakes deploy for the last couple feet of stopping.
If the steering wheel stays straight or to the left, no problem.

At first I thought it would be a bad front sensor but a friend at an auto parts store told me it could be a failing wheel bearing. No outward signs of bad wheel bearing at this point.
Any thoughts?

Mine does this occasionally, like once a month. It is not the front sensor, nor the wheel bearing. On the front axles their are two parts to the ABS system. Their is a sensor and the ring, which the sensor reads. This ring is pressed onto the axle and over time can become cracked and as a result will cause the ABS to malfunction = unwanted ABS activation. You can either replace the axles or replace the ring(s). You can inspect your rings to see if this is the cause. If you look at the axle under the car, and see the sensor the ring is around the axle right infront of the sensor. You might also check if their is excessive corrosion on the sensor and maybe scraping it off, be careful not to harm it.

You could pull the ABS fuse until you figure out what is wrong. Be sure to do it when the key is out of the ignition.

Yes, I definately will discumbooberate the ABS system until I get this thing figured out. Going on vacation next week so I won't get to it for a while.
Not driving it anyway. Letting Amtrak do the driving :)
I am wondering if water (moisture) has anything to do with this.
I washed the car today and now it has done it more than ever. :squint:
