After buying my '93 SHO with the ABS light on about a month ago, finally got around to checking it out. Borrowed an OTC Genysis scan tool to pull the codes. My Ford service manual says the ABS diagnostic connector is located behind the left (I assume they are referring to the driver's side-everyone else in the auto industry does) strut tower. I searched and searched all around the strut tower and couldn't find any such connector. After finally giving up locating the ABS connector, thought I'd try reading the codes from the EEC diagnostic connector (behind the right side strut tower). Is the Ford manual wrong about the location of the ABS test connector? Is it possible that my car doesn't have a dedicated ABS diagnostic connector? Am I correct in assuming that the EEC connector can be used to pull ABS codes? After scanning the codes with the Genysis (from the EEC connector) the process appeared to have worked. I got the following codes 12-12-10-12. After looking at the trouble code chart, I ran into another problem- there are no 10 or 12 codes in the Ford manual!! According to the Genysis, code 12 indicates trouble with the ABS module-back to the Ford manual. Manual says replace the module, drive the car over 25 mph to erase code. Are there any other tests I can perform without replacing the module? Since I don't know if I scanned the codes properly, I don't know which way to turn first. The ABS works fine as far as I can tell, but the light stays on all the time? Any suggestions, anybody??

The ABS connector (at least on my 95) is nearly in the centre of the engine bay on the firewall (just to the right of the EEC connector). Have a look there for it as you need to pull the codes from the ABS connector as far as I know.

When I checked mine I got 63,67. Pump falure.
When they say module do they mean pump?

If so there is a pump on ebay for 10 bucks. I got mine for 6 bucks :D

Now I just got to install it and mooch off a fellow sho-ster who has the correct ABS bleeding tool.
