Hello, Ever since I've had my tranny rebuilt on my 99 SHO, it has felt underpowerd, It doesnt leave the light in first at all, I have to manually drop it into first. And the car doesn't like to kick down into gear when I get on it. Sometimes I can get it to drop out of overdrive, but never back down into 2nd. I know my tranny shop is a piece of crap, and it's not worth messing with them. Is it possible they tuned the tranny for a regular taurus? I even bought a SCT tuner from SHOZ123 which helped making the shifts a little harder, but before I bother him again with a new tune is there something I can do to the tranny or do I just need to drop it off at another tranny shop? If it helps I know the tranny shop changed the torque converter because that was one of the codes that came up when the tranny took a crap, and I supplied it to them. Also they installed a TransGo shift kit. thanks

Well I was going to say the TC wasn't correct, but if you supplied it, that's not as likely. My 97' didn't have the same kick as before the tranny got rebuilt. Don't know what your problems are. I always assumed they didn't use the proper TC.

+1

I second the vote on the TC. Just because he supplied the TC doesn't help. There is a guy on the V8 list who had been through four different converters, and the car changed each time he changed one out.
