under the knife

well its finaly time the shos are goin under the knife. this weekend i will be uniting the 95 and 92 together by doin a 3.2atx to mtx. will also be doin both 60ks installin catless y and bbbs from sho source, swapin intake cams, clutch and hopefully the rod bearings will show up in the morning. any tips, tricks or suguestion are always welcome. i have read the wright up that phoenix is hosting and i have printed out the parts list to take off the 3.0 so i hope all goes smooth. i will try to take pics if i can find my camera tonight

well so far so good got the 3.0 out and just about striped and probly an hour or so away from getting the 3.2 on the ground hope it keeps going this way

Give yourself plenty of time to accomplish this and don't get in a hurry. This sometimes results in broken pieces/parts or busted up knuckles. Have fun and keep us posted.

well just looked at the flywheel that i need and its missing half the teeth so fml if any you local guys have a spare 3.0 flywheel i would greatly apresiate it

any one have any idea on what to use for the pin that hold the tb tensioner spring the one on the 30 wont come out

i gave ryan one a month of so back so i just nicely took it back lol and i drink budd light im not sure what he drinks are you coming down thursday

yea hopefully in the sho. figured out a new pin i mangled the old tensioner and took the pin out of it smashed into the hole works great now ill try to post a pic i a liltle bit

I have a 3.0 tenstioner at my house

I have a new tensioner I needed the pin on the block that holds the spring but I used the pin off the old tensioner and it fits well with alil perswasion via good old bfh

hopefully it will be in and running wednesday iv only got limited time during the week to work on it before i have to do real work hoping to have the front dressed tonight then should be good to drop it in the am

well motor and trans are on the crain ready to be installed then a little plug and play hopefuly will be starting her up tomorrow

had to trim down the right head to fit the 30 alt. and had to rewire the oil switch but everything else is looking good

untill i got the motor in and relised that i need to swap out the rear exhaust manifold the 3.2 manifold was sitting on top of the rack and of corse its the manifold that i had to drill and weld new studs on oh well just another bump in the road

i thought it looked a little tight back there but thought it would be fine
