I went to change mine today and couldn't get it. I was told it could be removed without removing anything else. Is there a trick I'm missing?

I always removed the battery and reached in from there. I also have this little round hockey-puck ratchet I use.

7/32, 1/4" socket and ratchet. Mine was easily accessable by removing the small strut and tank on the left side. Two small 7/32 bolts held it in place and I did the change in 30 minutes. Check to make sure there is not oit on it's inside or you will have to also replace seal. Mine was dry thank God! (that would be the left side looking at the engine from the bumper. I had to ask that myself as the cam sensor is not just looking at you)

I changed mine but noticed there was some oil in the cup. Thought it was from all the oil vapor from oil dripping on the cats because the front seal is bad. Is the seal behind the sensor easy to replace? I have to take the car in to change all the oil seals in front and rear engine.

I found a way to easily remove the CID a couple years back. This was primarily used for the 'rear' bolt on the cam sensor, but this method can be used for the 'front' bolt as well using the swivel.
NOTE:This applies only to MTX cars. However, I have done this on an ATX as well(see pics/descriptions)
What you'll need:
1/4'' drive
1/4'' extensions- the longer the better (you'll need at a minimum, 2-6'')
1/4''- 5/32
1/4'' swivel (front bolt/ATX)

NOTE:If your car is lowered, you may need to slightly jack the passenger side up.

The pics are pretty self-explanatory.....

And from the engine bay-

For the ATX, you'll need to use the swivel as the motor sits farther forward. However, the CID on the ATX is easier to get to, so it's up to you if you want to use this method on an ATX.
