Sometimes when I go to start my car, it wont start on the first turn. But then right away on the second try it starts. It doesnt do it all the time, but it really ****** me off. What might it be and what could I do about it? Also how much would it cost?

Sounds like your fuel pump might be headed south. A 155LPH Pump from http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/ is around $83 dollars.

Does your pump seem abnormally loud? Try this: Turn the key to on, but not start. Let the fuel pump whir until it stops. Turn the key back to on, let it whir again, then try starting it. If this is your problem, I would suggest a new fuel pump and new Anti-drainback valve. Should be under $100 with shipping.

If the starter is not even engaging, you might try this. on the starter, there is a metal plug that a wire with a plastic end plugs to. Ocassionally on fords, this can become corroded<sp?>. Just pull it off, make sure it is clean, and slap it back on....May be a quick free fix with no tools needed.
