Two questions here

Ok first off i will be basicly getting my front end re done new rack and pin and new tie rods, new strut bushings, back bushings, and cont bushings. And my bro is doing it at ford for a discounted price. now i was thinking while i am there at ford should i have them do a tranny flush?? And my overdrive switch doesn't work. i herd that the switch was like in teh tranny pan should i have them do that too? And how much does the switch cost? O and another thing

should i even have the tranny flushed? I have herd if they are not well mained tained trannys that if u get them flushed u could open up a new can of worms. But my trannys was replaced ay 98K (Thats what the guy said when i bought the car at like 132K) and it now has like 139k on it. And have herd that the tranny should be flushed like every 30k . Is that right. if so i am only like 10k over when it should ahve been done. I think it has been well main tained. O and should i buy some red line or mobile one to put in there? Instead of the ford stuff?

Hello,

I rebuilt transmissions for years. The magic number is 25K regardless of what anyone says. 80 bucks is cheap compared to the cost of rebuilding or replacing. The filter screen should be replaced and the 0 ring put in position perfectly.

Thanks for the info guys. Well thats what my bro said the tranny flushes cost but thats with out labor. he said around 30k to do it too.
I will let you guys know how it turned out after next week.
