I have two creaking noises coming from the front end of my '92 SHO. The first is most apparent when the vehicle is stopped although it is also there at low speed. It is a creaking noise when you turn the steering wheel. It appears to be coming from the struts so I bought new strut cap and bearings and replaced those. That decreased the volume of that creak but did not stop it.

The second noise appears to be coming from the right front of the car, probably directly in front of the passengers seat. It happens when you raise the right wheel above the others ( like turning into a driveway that is inclined, or when making a hard right turn. It is not a clunk, more of a deep creak or moan. *MAYBE* a broken weld... ?

Any ideas what either of these might be ? im much more concerned about the second as it is much louder.

My guess would be worn subframe bushings allowing the subframe to shift some. When I took mine out they were all dry rotted. Aluminum bushings are a very good solution to that, if it is the problem..

And even if they don't fix it you'll be saying "wow this thing can turn.."

Aluminium ones are actually on order now, should be here tomorrow. I have to replace the clutch and I was going to replace them while I was at it.

if the vehicle is lowered with corrected camber, or a bad camber alignment on stock suspension, it could be the strut bearing rubbing on the strut tower. but ill concur about the subframe bushings being the root cause.
