My 3.2 swap with all bolt ons available except nitro and blower.

In car it's the 3.2 d4U1 CPU and harness , with deleted EGR /AC.

Could I load in the XJ2 tune to save me the cancellation of all the ATX features and EGR crap , and begine my tune with the XJ2 (and the MArk8 MAF tune)

Thanks

You'll neeed to swap back to a 3.0L wiring harness, CCRM, etc and run a single fan setup found on the MTX. I would personally go this route.

+1 the tweecer RT does not properly datalog for the D4U1. you can get a decent tune but it wont be ideal.

God , Ive should have asked this awhile ago...

I still have the harness , no more CPU + CCRM.

Plus I ordered the 2 O2 sensors 4 wires that goes on the ATX harness....

I think Ill keep it this way and try to tune this the best I can.

I got the PLX wideband , so I should be able to tune this bitch not so badly.

Unfortunately, no. The X2J calibration will only work on an MTX SHO computer with the same pinouts and engine wiring harness. The good news is that all of the '89-'95 MTX SHO computer share the same basic pinouts, which means you can interchange them freely between years without problem. Similarly, the D4U1 calibration will only work on one of the four '93-'95 ATX SHO computer flavors ('93 H3Z, H3Z1, H3Z2, or '94-'95 D4U1). Attempting to run an MTX calibration on an ATX computer (or vice versa) will result in failure.

With the exception of about six different data logging registers in the current CalCon release (or only two registers in all previous CalCon releases - MAF airflow and MAF voltage), CalCon accurately reports all D4U1 data logging registers to the end-user as they are read by the TwEECer from the EEC. I am currently working with Mike to get this long-standing issue addressed.

well considering that the maf signal gets reported as nearly pure garbage, good luck making maf transfer funtion adjustments ... a necessary step in tuning the car

i speak from experience

All I got it's the XJ2 harness would any other MTX comp fit? EX: a L0S CPU on my XJ2 Harness?

What's exacly i'm looking at if I try to tune with the D4U1? Am I going nowhere with that or I still can do some stuff?

My point is that the car need to run ASAP , and it has 40+ cams ,so it needs at least to run well , cause my friend needs it for his wedding.

I already bought all the O2 sensors from the ATX harness (4 wires) it would really **** me off to get back to the old harness with old sensors.

I know there's alot of questions in my post , but please be precise in your answers , and please be 100% sure of what you are saying.

Thank you

Yes, any non-california MTX computer will fit and simplify tuning. As far as CA car's, I'm not sure how much will be affected.

As Jason pointed out, any 49-state V6 MTX computer will work with your MTX harness (e.g. they're all essentially plug-and-play).

While you will have access to at least double the number of parameters and functions with the D4U1 calibration than you would with the X2J or any other MTX calibration, this also means that you will have to modify more parameters and functions with the D4U1 in order to get the car driveable than if you opted to stick with the X2J.

Also, don't forget that you will also have several (constant) transmission-related DTCs that will trip the Check Engine Light if you continue to use the ATX-based D4U1 computer in your MTX-based car. The eventual TwEECer software updates for the D4U1 should include all of the remaining transmission control parameters, some of which will allow you to tell the computer that it no longer has an automatic transaxle attached to the engine. In turn, this will eliminate the ATX-based CELs that would result from using a D4U1 in an MTX setup and allow you to see any legitimate DTCs that might pop up in the interrim.

Ultimately, the decision is up to you. ;)
