My first "tuning" post :naughty:

Seemingly easy one though, couldnt seem to find it with a search of the forum...

Im installing my Tweecer RT. EEC was removed, contacts cleaned, and Tweecer plugged in.

When reinstalling, it noticed that the factory bracket that holds the rear portion of the EEC (where the Tweecer plugs into) cannot be used.

Is this a ground for the EEC? It sure LOOKS like one.
What do I do?

I had to remove the white bracket as well. Works great without it. I made myself a cardboard shim for under the tweecer, then used clear packaging tape to hold it in place.

Thanks, Im up and running

I also shimmed the Tweecer. but used two layers of rubber gasket material. Then a nice peice of silver duct-tape to hold it on.

Just ditch it. Be sure to use some tape to hold it in place, or it will rattle out over time.

Also, be sure your battery is disconnected when messing with the computer or plugging in/removing chips.

Any performance gains, smoother running, or noticeable difference when using the tweecer?

The EEC ground is near the power steering resevior. If you want to clear your KAM's the old fasion way, you just unplug the connector for a few minutes. The easy way to do it without getting out of the car is using a Mustang binary.

I've never used tape to hold the TwEECer in.... I would just put some thin foam tape on the portion that faces the EEC and just plug it in.

That is all dependent on what has been done to the car. For a stock car, the gains are VERY minimal. For a car that has been seriously modified, the TwEECer will be the key to making your mods perform.

The outcome of TwEECer use/programming is all dependent on what is needed to make the motor run correctly. There is no set program for any one motor.
