I am trying to set up my TwEECer on my new Dell laptop, which of course comes with the POS Vista. Anybody know how to get these two to play nice?

You should bring this to the tweecer website , maybe other people experience the same thing.

Turn off User Account Control, Uninstall any antivirus software (or turn it off temporarily), disable the firewall service (don't just turn of the firewall) run services.msc at a command prompt, find "Windows firewall service", and right click > "Stop"

Does it say it is Vista compatible? Also does it need anything else installed (.net framework XML parser etc.?)

Lastly, does it open at all, crash with an error code, or sit there and do nothing?

To give an idea of how ill conceived Windows Vista is...

Microsoft Exchange 2003 Outlook Web Access will not work in IE7 on a workstation running Windows Vista.

Just brilliant.

Upgrade to WindowsXP.

A-friggen-men!!!

I'm in the middle of upgrading a new Dell laptop from Vista to XP. Getting around the lack of an SATA driver on the XP install disk was fun.

WRT TwEECer and Vista, if you can't get it working on your own, try emailing Josh or Adam and see if either of them have any ideas.
