Turn signal works....now it dont..now it does...

Why does my turn signal cut out at times...and then it will work again later...
Bulbs appear OK.

The fine quality switch that actuates it. Usually the problem is the grease interfering with the contacts within the MFS.

SHOZ has it right on the head...just take out the multifunction switch and clean it..mine is doing the same thing right now when I signal to turn right.. :rolleyes:

how do I remove the MFS...and I'm assuming you mean the turn signal lever on the steering column?
this is the MFS?

remove the clamshell part of the steering column by removing the allen bolts that hold it all together. Or just spray some electronic contact cleaner in there with a q-tip to wipe for a quick fix. The best stuff is the electronic contact cleaner you get at Radio Shack. I use the same stuff to clean the delicate filaments of the MAF sensor as well after some driving with the K&N oils from the air filter I have.
