I have a 95 MTX and the right turn signal does not work. It works in the first position(the one you have to hold there), but all the way up and it just clicks real fast and no light on the dash. THe back one will blink but not the front one. I have replaced the signal bulbs and the flasher. Hazards work. the only thing left is the switch. But i don't want to replace it unless i know thats it. Plus it looks like a PIA to do.

Same EXACT thing happened to me with my current 92. Unfortunely, that multifunction switch stalk is the culprit. Grab a new one from either a parts car or special order it from Autozone. They're not that hard to install at all. Just remove the plastic that covers the steering wheel column and swap the switches out. It's pretty straightforward once you remove the plastic cover. Good luck!

If you prefer a used switch price over a new one but don't have access to a local junkyard or parts car, either post a WTB here on the forum or contact www.alfitz.com that guys parts out more SHOs than there are stars in the sky.

V6Hova,

Welcome. I've read a couple of your posts and have faith you'll get your SHO up to par!

I might make a suggestion, non technical...go the 'my profile' from the top links, and fill in your signature with your car year, trans, and miliage.

This way you won't have to start each topic with "I have a 95MTX".

Just a suggestion! thumb

Well, my problem was the hazards and the blinkers stopped working all together. So my solution may not help you but I solved my problem by cleaning the heck out of my hazard switch. Use Qtips, compressed air, etc. Worth a try. Good luck.

V6HOVA,

Until you get it replaced you can put the window down. Then when you want to turn left, stick your left arm straight out. When you want to turn right, bend your left arm uppward at the elbow!
 :D wink rangerj
