turn signal lighting up but not blinking

i just repaired my alternator and got my car running good. not when i turn on my turn signal left or right it lights up solid and does not blink. would a bulb do that?

sounds more like the flasher is bad

it turns out that my non working 4 ways were on and that was the problem. is there a flasher for the 4 ways only?
