What kind of answer do you expect with NO details provided? They are two different systems that do the same thing, although the turbosupercharger is more efficient. A simple google will yield some very good information on turbos and superchargers. Then you can decide which will be better for your application. You say RWD, but what motor?? I assume an SHO motor....

sorry for the vauge post i made it from school and didnt have much time. here is a more detail for you. i am putting a v6 sho motor in my 240sx. i was thinking at first of keeping it n/a and adding the bolts ons and minor internals to add some extra power. the more i thought about it i cant stay away from boost its addicting. i know how both systems work very well i dont need a google search to tell me that. i was wondering what you have seen being a sho owner as to what is the best route to go with the sho motor. does a turbo or supercharger application seem to weild the most potential from this motor? also what seems most reliable in your experience. just a little back ground on me my first car ever was a 93' royal blue sho attx so the only reason i want this motor is because i know how much i loved it before.

oh and the woodlands, tx is way north of houston

Well here are two questions:

Can you fabricate either system and how much room do you have to work with?

fabiracting is not a problem. the space issue was a concern of mine but as of now this is just an idea. im still thinking of keeping it n/s for relability reasons. i belive there will be enough room for a bottom mount system.

it used to be that turbo had more packaging problems, but with so much recent sucess with rear mount turbros on other kinds of cars, that might be the easist thing to do. you can even get a universal kit with most of the stuff you need from the one vendor. can't get easier than that.

i've always wanted to see a eaton M112 mounted on a SHO engine. I say go that route just because you would be one of the first to mount a large PD blower on this engine.

Its not a 112... but still, an M90 can put some large CFM numbers out (when properly ported, etc..)

Hey, I've seen that car before!

The M90 seems to work REALLY well on the SHO motor. They're rated to spin up to 14,000 rpm. With the stock pulley, I believe the blower hits this around when the engine revs to 7000rpm.

There is SO much potential in this setup, I just don't have the time or money at the moment to really start upgrading it. Currently it's a junkyard first generation M90 that leaks oil, mounted to an aluminum box (it has the internal aerodynamics of a moving van), running on a motor with only 5 good cylinders. I'm happy with the power it made in this shape.

Despite not making a whole ton of power, the boost response was RIGHT NOW. The boost gauge looked more like a throttle gauge. Also, the sound is terrifying and incredible. I love it.

I just think the M112 would make me smile a bit more. its big and I could run a lot of boost. too bad that thing didn't come close to fitting under the hood.
