i have a 2010 sho no Pp with about 115k on the dash. Today i noticed an oil leak on the ground so i decidedIMG 3983IMG 3982 to see if i could identify the origin, the only actual dripping action i found was running off of the oil filter. however the front turbo has some weird black wetness around the seal. was wondering if shes done for or not.

You’re definitely getting some oil from the turbo oil line. But what’s up with the drip on the filter, coming from the filter or is the filter getting dripped on from above? I’d want to pin that down first.

Could be where the oil pickup mounts to the block. If the turbo was dripping. It would look alot worse then the pics show as it would leak more with higher oil pressure like when driving. Not sure on 2010 but i have a cooler mounted oil filter block. Non cooled ones is still a block mounted type and can leak over time.

it seemed like it was running down from the seal on the filter but i’m still unsure, bought a new filter just for good measure, goin to investigate some more while i’m down there today
